Romancing your spouce ... after the honeymoon is overIn the beginning of any relationship, romance is relatively easy. Here are some tips from Life Coach, Diana Smith, to keep the spark lit long after the honeymoon is over.
- Genuinely thank your spouse for the things he/she does for you.
- Show interest and learn about your spouse's leisure time activities
- Create an original card that expresses how much you value and enjoy your spouse as your mate and friend.
- Compose a list of the things that your spouse does for you or the things you really like about him/her and put it under their pillow.
- Surprise your spouse with breakfast in bed for no reason at all.
- Be affectionate with one another - even if it is just holding hands at the movies.
- Surprise your spouse with a short day-trip together to their favorite spot.
- Leave a love note where your spouse can find it when you aren't around.
- Massage your spouse's feet after a hard day.
- Light candles and turn on soft music before your spouse comes to bed.
- Leave a loving message on your spouse's voicemail.
- Apologize, even though you may feel you are right. This lets your spouse know that you don't care who is right or wrong.
- Learn how to communicate silently when in group settings. A squeeze of the hand or a wink from across the room will remind them of your love.
- Share your life's dreams before going to sleep. Fall asleep thinking of your future together.
